Every love story has a beginning, and ours began with a simple super-like, a prayer, and God’s perfect timing.We met on a Christian dating app called Upward, where Alan super-liked Hazel’s profile. His smile immediately caught her attention, especially one picture of him laughing with SpongeBob in the background. What started as a simple match would soon become the beginning of a love story neither of us could have written on our own. Before meeting Alan, Hazel had prayed for a man who would pursue her intentionally, love her well, and most importantly, reflect Christ through his character. She even prayed that the man she went on her first date with would bring her flowers. After matching, we spent about three months getting to know each other before finally going on our first date at Main Event. Alan showed up with flowers for Hazel, and in that little moment, she felt like God was reminding her, “I hear your prayers.” 🌸 Of course, Alan won basically every game, and we ended the night with ice cream. 😂 As we continued going on dates and getting to know each other, Hazel began to see Alan consistently display the fruit of the Spirit: love, patience, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control. Through his words, actions, and the way he treated her, Hazel began to realize that Alan wasn’t just someone she met on a dating app; he was an answered prayer. After four more dates, Alan asked Hazel to be his girlfriend, and the rest is history. Over the next three years, God continued to grow our relationship through laughter, challenges, memories, and countless moments of love and grace. Looking back, we can see His hand in every part of our story, from a super-like and a SpongeBob picture to flowers on our first date. Now, three years later, we are engaged and preparing to begin the greatest chapter of our lives: marriage. We pray that Christ will always remain at the center of our relationship and that our marriage will reflect His love.As Ecclesiastes 4:12 reminds us, “A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”What started with a prayer became an answered prayer, and what God began, we pray He will continue to carry into forever. 🤍💍

Hazel’s little brother, who definitely isn’t so little anymore and is now a dad! 😂 From growing up together, Hazel doing his art projects for him, endless Spider-Man moments, fart jokes, late-night DoorDash meals, and eating together, they’ve shared so many memories that Hazel will always laugh about. One of Hazel’s favorite memories is him coming in at 1 AM just to hear the song he wrote, because that’s just the kind of brother he is. 🤍It’s crazy to see how much life has changed. The little brother Hazel grew up with is now an amazing husband, a loving dad, and a man of God. And now, he gets to stand up there and officially marry Hazel and Alan! 😂 Hazel truly couldn’t think of anyone better to have such a special role in their wedding. She is so incredibly proud of the man he has become and thankful to God for the husband, father, and man of God he is today. From being her annoying little brother to officiating her wedding, this is such a special full-circle moment that Hazel will cherish forever. 🤍

Sean 

Hazel’s not-so-little cousin who has grown into such a great guy! It feels like just yesterday he was coming over to the house, watching Michael Jackson, and somehow managing to trigger the smoke alarm in the bathroom 😂. Those are the kind of childhood memories that Hazel will always laugh about and cherish. Now, that little cousin has grown into such a great young man, and Hazel is so proud of the person he’s becoming. She’s so happy that he gets to be part of their big day as their ring bearer and make another special memory together. 

Evan 

Leah Bear, Hazel and Alan’s newest addition to the family! She may have four little paws, but she has already taken up such a huge place in both of their hearts. They are so happy to have her as part of their little family and love watching her grow and become more and more part of their lives. Leah Bear is currently obsessed with chewing on slippers and has officially become their little piranha because she’s teething! 😂 But underneath those tiny shark teeth is the sweetest cuddle bug who loves being carried around and getting cuddles from Mommy and Daddy. She may not understand what a wedding is just yet, but she is already such a special part of Hazel and Alan’s story. Their little Leah Bear will always be a cherished part of their family. 🐶🤍

Leah Campbell 

Our sweet flower girls are Hazel’s little cousins whom she remembers as tiny babies, and somehow, they’re all grown up now! 🥹🤍 Hazel still remembers babysitting them, picking them up from school, changing diapers, and watching them grow up right before her eyes. Now they’re in big girl school, full of life, personality, and so much joy! They’re our favorite little gamers, amazing singers, favorite readers, and of course, our favorite Floor Is Lava buddies! 🎮📚🎤🌋 From playing games and reading together to turning the living room into a Floor Is Lava adventure, they’ve created so many sweet and funny memories with us. It’s hard to believe the little girls Hazel once carried around are now walking down the aisle as our beautiful flower girls. Watching them grow into the amazing, joyful, and talented girls they are today has been such a blessing. We’re so excited to have our favorite little girls be part of our special day! 🌸🤍

Addie & Lily 

Hazel’s mom, also known as the “rooster” of the family! 😂 The one who would wake everyone up with her joyful singing, dancing, hugs, and kisses, whether everyone was ready to wake up or not! 😂🤍 She is also the chef of the family, always showing her love through her cooking and hospitality. She has a special way of making people feel welcomed, cared for, and loved through a good meal and a warm heart. But beyond all the funny and sweet memories, Hazel’s mom is one of the biggest reasons she knows and loves Jesus. Through her faith, love, and the way she carries joy each day, she has shown Hazel what it means to live with a heart devoted to God. She taught Hazel how to be resilient, have courage, and most importantly, to include Jesus in every decision she makes. She also taught Hazel what it means to choose a true partner in life someone who loves God and walks with Him. Her radiant spirit, joyful heart, and love for others have always been a beautiful reflection of God’s love. Hazel is beyond grateful for the godly example her mom has been throughout her life and for all the lessons, prayers, laughter, hugs, songs, dances, and memories they’ve shared. She is so thankful to have her mom by her side as she begins this new chapter and starts a family of her own. 🤍

Mama Del 

Hazel’s dad, the karaoke king and guitar player of the family! 😂 He loves Filipino food, grilling the best steaks, making chicken wings, and whipping up his famous cucumber, green apple, and lemon juice. He’s also the one who taught Hazel and her siblings their table manners and showed them what it means to work hard and take pride in what they do. When Hazel was little, he would help with her school projects by drawing funny cartoons and animations for her, sparking Hazel’s love for art and creativity from a young age. From there, Hazel started drawing on her own, creating countless art projects and finding new ways to express herself through creativity. That creativity eventually became a big part of her journey through OTA school, where she was able to use her love for art and creativity in the work she does. 🤍

Hazel is so thankful for all the little things that make her dad who he is, from his love of music, food, and creativity to the lessons he passed down to her. She’s so proud to have him as her dad and incredibly grateful to have him by her side as she begins this new chapter of her life. 🤍

Romulo Rubico 

Alan’s amazing mom, Mama Elvy, is a Godly woman who has always strived to give her absolute best for her children. She was a single mother for much of her children’s upbringing, and through life’s challenges, she remained strong, hardworking, and devoted, always doing her best to provide for and care for her children. Through it all, she never let go of God or her faith, trusting Him to guide her and give her strength along the way. She was also blessed with the love and support of her parents, who helped her along the way and played an important role in her children’s lives. Elvy never lets anything stop her once she sets her mind to something. “Hard worker” could easily be her middle name, and she is never afraid to show it! She loves playing the violin and going to the gym. She is truly a blessing, and her family thanks God for her strength, her sacrifices, her unwavering faith, and her continuous love and support.

Mama Elvy 

Hazel’s little sister and forever bestie! 🥹 From the endless nights of sharing a room together, listening to K-pop and watching K-dramas, to making funny videos and making ridiculous faces at each other in the school halls, they’ve shared so many memories that Hazel will always treasure. 😂🤍Through every phase of growing up, she has been by Hazel’s side not just as her little sister, but as one of her very best friends. Having her stand beside Hazel as her Maid of Honor on her wedding day makes this moment even more special. Hazel is so thankful God gave her a sister who has grown alongside her, laughed with her, and been there through it all. There’s truly no one else Hazel would want by her side as she begins this new chapter. 🤍

Arian 

Hazel’s cousin, her hype girl, and someone she grew up making so many memories with! From making their own cousin movies, going on so many Austin trips, playing Rock Band together, and growing up talking about boys, they’ve really been through it all together 😂. She’s the official dog whisperer, the “most beautiful girl in the club”, and the real dancing queen of the family, who even taught Hazel the iconic white-girl dance! 💃🏻 Hazel is so thankful for all the laughs, adventures, inside jokes, and memories they’ve shared over the years. From childhood fun to growing up and making new memories, it means so much to Hazel that she gets to have her cousin, hype girl, and dancing queen by her side for such a special moment in her life. 🤍

Noelle 

Hazel’s OTA school bestie who was there through all the late nights, endless studying, stress, laughs, and everything in between! From eating senior burritos, staying after school to practice comps, having late-night chats and rants, and doing the funniest group projects together, including our iconic Bag a Boo project 😂, we made so many memories that Hazel will always look back on and laugh about. And of course, she can’t forget her Mensho Ramen buddy and Korean corn dog lover! 😂🤍 OT school was definitely a crazy journey, but having her by Hazel’s side made it so much better. Hazel is so thankful that OT school gave her not only a degree, but also a friendship she knows she’ll carry with her for years to come. She couldn’t imagine getting married without having her girl by her side! 🤍

Stefany 

Hazel’s OTA school bestie who made OTA school so much more fun! From surviving long days, stressful assignments, and everything in between, they made so many memories that Hazel will always cherish. From staying on the weekends to decorate boards and help with SOTA stuff, staying after school to practice comps, and somehow finding time to have fun in between all the craziness, they truly went through it all together! 😂🤍Now, Hazel is so thankful that their friendship has grown beyond OTA school and into fun double dates with their other friends, making even more memories along the way. She’s so grateful that OTA school gave her not only a career she loves, but also a friendship she’ll always cherish. Hazel can’t imagine celebrating this special chapter without her by her side!

Kaylin 

Hazel’s not-so-little cousins who somehow grew up way too fast! 😂 It feels like just yesterday she was babysitting them, having sleepovers, going to the mall together, and giving them all her hand-me-downs. Now they’re all grown up and somehow became the singers of the family! 🎤😂 They’re also the athletes, the hard workers, and the ones who have a way of showing love to everyone around them. 🤍 Hazel has loved watching them grow from the little girls she used to babysit into the beautiful young ladies they are today. She’s so thankful for all the memories, laughs, sleepovers, mall trips, and everything in between. It means so much to Hazel that she gets to have them by her side for such an important moment in her life, and she can’t wait to make even more memories with them! 🤍

Lylah & Autumn

Hazel’s future sister-in-law and one of her favorite people to share all things BTS, K-dramas, and random conversations with! 💜 She’s also Hazel’s favorite teasing buddy when it comes to teasing Alan because someone has to keep him humble! 😂 From fangirling over their favorite shows and songs to all the laughs, inside jokes, and random conversations they’ve shared, Hazel is so thankful that becoming part of this family also gave her a sister like her. Hazel can’t wait for all the future memories, more inside jokes, BTS fangirl moments, K-drama marathons, and of course, plenty more opportunities to tease Alan together! 😂🤍 She is so grateful to have her by her side for such a special moment and excited for all the memories they still have ahead of them. 💜

Emily 

Meralis, Hazel’s sister-in-law and someone she is so grateful to have in her life! She is the baker of the family and the talented baker behind Rubi Rolls! 🥐🤍 She has a special way of putting love into everything she makes, and Hazel is so proud to call her family. She is also the amazing mom of Hazel’s beautiful niece, Hosanna, and watching her grow into motherhood has been such a special thing for Hazel to witness. Meralis brings so much love, warmth, and joy to the family, and Hazel is so thankful for the bond they’ve built. Having her stand beside Hazel as she marries the love of her life makes this day even more special. Hazel is so happy to have Meralis by her side as they celebrate this beautiful new chapter together! 🤍

Russell, Hazel’s older brother, the gamer and mechanic of the family! 😂 If there’s an oil change that needs to be done, a tire that needs changing, or something that needs fixing, Russell is the guy to call! He’s also the family’s Super Saiyan fanatic 💥, loves rap and everything ’80s, rocks his streetwear, and has a contagious laugh that gets everyone else laughing too! 😂 From gaming and talking about music to sharing laughs and making memories, Russell has become more than just Hazel’s brother; he’s someone Alan is grateful to now call family. Alan is thankful for the relationship they’ve built over the years and couldn’t imagine celebrating this next chapter without Russell standing beside them. He is honored to have Russell as one of his groomsmen and excited for all the memories still to come! 🤍

Hazel's cousin, the slay queen of the family, the buff one, our kawaii king, and our favorite TikToker! 😂💪🎀 JJ has always had a special way of bringing joy, laughter, and love wherever he goes. He’s Hazel’s ultimate hype person and one of her biggest supporters, always showing up for her achievements and celebrating her every step of the way. He also taught Hazel the iconic white girl dance 😂💃 and was the editor, director, and creative genius behind our famous cousin movies. From making us laugh until our stomachs hurt to creating memories we still talk about, JJ has always been the life of the party. JJ has also taught Hazel to take risks, be confident, and express herself fully without being afraid to be herself. His kindness, humor, and unwavering support have made him such a special part of Hazel’s life and our family. We’re so thankful to have our favorite TikToker standing beside us on our wedding day not only as Alan’s groomsman, but as someone who has brought so much love, laughter, encouragement, and unforgettable memories into our lives. We love you, JJ!
